How to Volunteer

Our volunteers are the foundation on which Children’s Science Center is being built. You don’t need a math or science background or any specific experience to help out; you just need a lot of enthusiasm and a little bit of time. Our corps of volunteers has done everything from staff our “Museum Without Walls” booths at community events to writing news releases to much more. We welcome and appreciate any help and any amount of time you can offer.

As we expand our presence in Northern Virginia, we are looking for people who would like to help us spread the word that Children’s Science Center is coming! We need people to reach out to their acquaintances and organizations as well as people who would like to help us speak at various community events. You can organize a gathering in your home for friends and colleagues, or arrange for a presentation about Children’s Science Center at a meeting for a school, community or religious organization.

We currently have over 100 volunteers, but we are always look for more people to help out.

Get The Word Out

Another way to help is to spread the word! Tell your friends, relatives, and colleagues about Children’s Science Center and encourage them to get involved. Consider organizing an information session for your schools, community and religious associations. The more people who support Children’s Science Center, the faster we can open our doors to be the resource our families want and need. Tell A Friend
