Children’s Science Center gathers certain information about our users, and the following explains the terms and conditions about how we acquire and use that information.

Among the information we gather are your name, street and e-mail addresses, billing information, click-through activity, and other personal information you may provide on our Web site.

The Buzz, Children’s Science Center e-Newsletter
We offer a free electronic newsletter, The Buzz, to users who voluntarily subscribe for this service. Children’s Science Center gathers the e-mail addresses of those who register for the newsletter, and the information is used solely for the purpose of communications between Children’s Science Center and you. Users may remove themselves from this mailing list by following the link provided in every newsletter that points users to the subscription management page. Children’s Science Center does not sell, rent, or otherwise exploit in any way the e-mail addresses of newsletter subscribers and recipients.

E-mails sent to members
Children’s Science Center will begin offering memberships once our museum has opened. To register for membership, users will fill out forms requesting information, including e-mail addresses. Periodically, Children’s Science Center will send information regarding membership renewals, benefits, public events, and important museum news or information. Users may remove themselves from this mailing list by following the instructions on every message. Children’s Science Center does not sell, rent, or otherwise exploit in any way the e-mail addresses of newsletter subscribers and recipients.

Traffic Logs
Children’s Science Center tracks user traffic patterns throughout the site. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. Children’s Science Center reviews overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, and MIME (data) type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser).

Children’s Science Center does not use cookies to track user traffic patterns.

Children
Children’s Science Center follows the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, and we will never knowingly request personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without requesting parental consent.

Revisions
Please note that Children’s Science Center may revise its privacy policy at any time. Such revisions may arise in response to changes in the law, policy, our site, or other factors. We encourage you to periodically visit this page to review our most current policy.
